Closet Staple: The Denim Jacket

I’ve talked before about closet staples or “must haves” and how certain wardrobe pieces are what I call “lifers”. That perfect little black dress, that classic pair of rain boots, or that beautiful pair of black heels. Classic pieces you will always need…for life. (Get the “lifers” phrase now?!)

I’ve had many jean jackets in my lifetime. Honestly, probably ten or more. It’s a piece that doesn’t go out to style and is so easy to wear in the spring OR summer months. It’s the perfect piece to throw over a tank & jeans or a fun swing dress.

Remember when tying a jean jacket around your waist was considered dorky?! Well, take a deep breath. It’s totally trending now and it’s actually considered a super cool accessory to finish up your look. I love when styles change like that. I mean, who wants to be carrying around a jacket all day?! I have wine to carry!

If you caught my Instagram post while I was in Europe, you know that I’m loving the “round trend” of sunglasses right now.
