Four Months With Georgie Jo

FOUR MONTHS with miss Georgie Jo and we officially turned a colic corner….thank goodness! (also, I’m a little behind on these posts so I’m catching up!). If you are a new mom and your baby has colic, please know that it gets better. Dealing with Georgie’s colic was seriously one of the hardest things Bryan & I have ever done in general with our 3 kids. It is no joke BUT she turned 13 weeks and completely turned a corner. By 4 months, she was a whole different baby and we are so thankful! Below are some things we did to help minimize her discomfort + colic symptoms:

Now, if she could just start sleeping through the night a little bit more, then we will be all good! Below is her current schedule which is still very similar to her 2 month schedule – basically eat, sleep, play a little and repeat:

5-8 am – wakes up and eats for about 10 minutes then goes back down for sleep – this timing is still up in the air. Sometimes she sleeps till 7, sometimes she’s up at 5:50.

8 am – 10 am – eats again and will hang out with us for a little bit, then back down to sleep

10 am – 11:30 am – up to eat again (she’s eating every 2-3 hours during the day still) and then will play on her little piano or sit in her bouncy chair  – this is on a good day…..on a bad colic day she needs to be held and is pretty uncomfortable.

12:30 – 1 – eats again (I’m exclusively breastfeeding)

1:30 – 3:30 – naps – this is variable – sometimes it’s a 2 hour nap and sometimes it’s 30 minutes

3ish – 5ish – eats again, plays, hangs with us

5pm – 6pm – naps – usually this nap is in the baby carrier – if we put her down to sleep, she will sleep for 10-15 minutes. If she is in the carrier, she sleeps for hours LOL – it’s been like this since month 2.

6-7pm –  plays, bath and gets ready for bed

7pm-8pm – final feeding and then down in her crib for the night– she started sleeping in her crib around 4 months

I LOVE looking at the month by month comparison photos of my kids – so crazy how they are all so different but also similar. We got these wooden signs with her name and months on them for photo purposes and they’ve turned out so cute!
