10 Pairs Of Shoes I Grabbed During the NSALE

Shoes are always one of my favorite categories of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so I always like to dedicate a whole post on my favorites and what I actually ended up going home with! Below are the shoes that made the cut and a few that I wanted to love but didn’t. I hope it helps narrow down your NSALE shoe shopping this year!

SHOES I TRIED ON AND TOOK HOME:

1.) VINCE CAMUTO SLOUCHY HIGH HEELED BOOT – color “TORTILLA”: This was one of my more fun, date night, stylish purchases that are actually super comfy and easy to walk in! I love the color as it really goes with any fall outfit and you will notice that a lot of the shoes I purchased are a neutral taupe or mushroom color for this exact  reason!

I tend to always size up 1/2 size in Vince Camuto shoes so that’s what I did with these and got a size 7.

2.) RAG & BONE RETRO SNEAKER – color “LIGHT SAND SUEDE”: These were on my wishlist immediately when the preview came out and they didn’t dissapoint when I tried them on either. They are a pricer sneaker but I loved them too much to pass them up.

I went with my true size 6.5/36.5  – if between sizes, you could go down.

3.) STEVE MADDEN MULES – color “PINK LEATHER & SAND SUEDE”: These are just a NSALE classic and something I continue to purchase year after year…you know why?! Because I wear the heck out of them in the fall! If you were going to pick one color, go with the sand suede as it literally matches with any outfit you will wear! They are comfortable, a great price on sale and come in a ton of fun colors!

I have a wider foot so I sized up 1/2 size in these and went with a 7. My sister has a super narrow foot so she went with her true size 7 as well. Moral of the story, if you have a wider foot, go up 1/2 size!

4.) SCHUTZ BLOCK HEEL – color “HONEY BEIGE”: I wasn’t really looking for another neutral color heel but once I put these on, I knew I would wear them a ton. They are very very comfortable, easy to walk in, not too high of a heel and great for now with dresses or into fall with jeans.

I went with my true size 6.5 in these.

5.) FREE PEOPLE BOOTS – color “DISTRESSED TAN”: These were the only pair that I went back and forth on and ended up taking home. First off, they are so so good in person. They look like they should be a way more expensive boot as the distressing makes the style so on trend. The only issue I had with them was that they were a little hard to get on my foot BUT once they got on, they fit like a glove and were very comfortable to walk in. Since they are leather, I feel as though they will be easier and easier to get on my foot the more I wear them!

I sized up a 1/2 size in these and went with a size 37.

6.) NIKE AIR MAX SNEAKER: I love the look of a classic black and white Nike sneakers so these were right up my alley! Very comfortable and easy to wear for miles… aka what I like to call a “DISNEY SHOES” – meaning, you could wear them all around Disneyworld and never get a blister. I wore them on our trip out to CA and they were insanely comfy for the travel day!

I originally tried these on in my true size 6.5 but ended up sizing up 1/2 a size and getting a size 7.

7.) DOLCE VITA STUDDED WESTERN BOOT – color “OFF WHITE LEATHER”: This was another pair that was immediately on my wishlist when the preview came out. I wore them a ton in my try on with my sister and loved how they easily went with so many outfits. They are extremely comfortable and right on trend for the fall season.

I went up 1/2 size in these and got a size 7.

8.) ROPED BUCKLE MULES – color “BLACK”: I loved the look of these right off the bat but I was a little worried with how they would fit or stay on the foot. Long story short, I love them! They don’t slip off when walking and are very comfy and chic looking. They definitely look like they should be more expensive than $50! I tried on the pink which was adorable but ended up taking home the black for a more classic look!

I sized up 1/2 size and got a size 7.

9.) NIKE PHANTOM RUN SNEAKER: Obsessed with these is an understatement and they really might take the cake as my #1 shoe find of the sale! Talk about comfortable and another “DISNEY WEAR SHOE” option. Amy & I both took these home but sizing was a little different for us both – see below.

I ended up sizing down 1/2 size and got a size 6 and Amy stuck with her true size 7 because she wears thick socks and likes room in her sneakers – I think sizing is based on your personal preference for these!

10.) BP BOOTIE – color “CHESTNUT”: If you are looking for just a classic bootie for fall, this is it! Nothing special but a closet staple for the season.

I sized up 1/2 size and got a size 7.

SHOES I TRIED ON AND DIDN’T TAKE HOME:

1.) CONVERSE PLATFORM SNEAKER: I wanted to love these but they were heavy, clunky and I tried on 3 different sizes and they all slipped off my foot.

2.) CASLON CHELSEA BOOTS: So I liked these but I didn’t LOVE them. They are definitely a closet staple for fall but I already have a pair that I really love in my closet at home. I also didn’t really love the black bottoms of this style.

3.) STEVE MADDEN BOOTIE: I really wanted to love these but they made my legs look so stumpy! It might just be me but even when I put them on, my sister agreed that they were a no. They just weren’t that flattering on my 5’4 frame.

4.) HOFF SNEAKER: These are so cute and trendy but very stiff once on the foot. They also ran realllly small. If I was going to love them, I would have needed to size up to a 7.5.
