I tried out a few new drugstore makeup items this past month and wanted to share my final thoughts with you all on them! All super affordable and available at CVS, Target, Walmart or any drugstore really! Is it just me or do any of you love just browsing the drugstore beauty aisles?! I could literally do it for hours!
Below are the 6 items I tried out:
1.) Essence Eyeshadow Palette in shades “Bronzed this Way” & “Nothing Compares to Nude” – I can’t believe that these palettes are only $5! Great for traveling, highly pigmented and stay on the eye well throughout the day. Tons of different colors as well!
2.) Kristen Ess Air Dry Creme – An oldie but a goodie and the only item I’ve tried before! I love using this air dry creme a lot the summer as I wear my hair naturally curly during that time and this majorly helps the curls not be frizzy! Highly recommend for my curly hair gals! Love the price too as it feels like a luxury hair product.
3.) Covergirl Fresh Tinted Lip Balm in shade “Life is Pink” – I love this stuff not only because it’s a great pop of color, but it feels just like a chapstick when being applied. ALSO, it has hyaluronic acid in it aka gold! (Well gold to me at least LOL!) The hyaluronic acid helps it not dry out your lips but instead leave them super moisturized!
4.) Essence Volume Booster Lash Primer – This was actually an ok primer and I was shocked! Does it replace my holy grail Marc Jacobs primer? No, but it does help lengthen your lashes if you need it, I just think there are others out there that are better. The price tag is a plus too!
5.) Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Powder – My favorite find of all! And I’m sure you know that if you’ve watched my stories in the last month. I’ve shared this matte powder multiple times as it’s perfect for us gals who have oily to combination skin and need a little makeup touch up at the end of the day. If I’m left with oily skin, two little swipes of this powder majorly takes away the oil AND leaves my pores almost invisible. It’s amazing!
6.) Flower Beauty Pyramids Cheek Color in shade “Rose Glow” – The pigmentation on this palette was incredible, the rose glow color just didn’t look good with my skintone. It was a little too blue for my taste! But talk about a pretty palette for a great price!
