Serum skin foundations started becoming such a HUGE hit this summer! So many of my favorite brands started coming out with new formulas & lightweight summer foundation options that I just had to test out a few of them and rate them for you all!
I tried all 4 of these serum skin foundations for over 3 months….. why 3 months? It really took me that long to see which one was my top pick, why it was my favorite and I wanted to try them all out multiple times so that I could really give you all the details before you choose which one is best for you and your skin.
1.) Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint with SPF 40: This one is incredible! And probably my most worn and loved of all 4 options! It does create a dewy look so if you have oily skin, this might be a little bit too oily for you. I do love that it has SPF 40 in it and it just creates the prettiest, flawless look in my opinion. Not only is this one makeup, but it’s also skincare as it has hyaluronic acid in it as well which is a major plus!
(I use shade ST10 Porto Ferro in the summer and shade Bom Bom in the winter months)
2.) Huda Beauty GloWish Multidew Skin Tint Foundation: I loved the coverage on this one but it was way too oily for my combo skin. After having it on for just 2 hours, I feel like I needed to powder up the shine. This one was a no-go for me, but if you have dry skin and love a dewy look, you might love this one!
(I used shade 03 light)
3.) Tarte Sea Hydroflex Serum Foundation: This one is great and probably my #2 pick! It has medium coverage and wears really well throughout the day. This is a great option for combination skin and is very lightweight & natural looking on the skin.
(I use shade 32S medium sand )
4.) Fenty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint: I first heard about this one from my sister and love it! This is a great option if want something with lightweight coverage with a matte finish.
(I use shade 7)
The most matte?
The most dewy look?
The most protective?
- The Ilia Skin Tint is the only one with SPF in it which is one of the reasons I love it the most. Whenever I’m going to be out in the sun all day, this is my top choice (SPF 40).
The most coverage?
- Ilia or Tarte both have the best coverage in my opinion but if you want a full coverage or more coverage, you can add the Ilia to one of you favorite foundations. When I need more coverage, I add the Ilia to my favorite Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Foundation. That way I’ll have full coverage + SPF.
The most lightweight?
The most affordable?
My overall top pick? The Ilia Skin Tint! I just love the flawless, natural and dewy look it gives me all while providing my skin with good skincare ingredients.
Hopefully this post was helpful to you all! Which one are you most excited to try?!
I have been waiting for this blog post, thank you! Now I have the green light to get the Ilia one. 🙂
