December Beauty & Skincare Product Review

Another month is gone and the holidays are over! So so crazy!

I tested out some fun beauty and skincare products for December…. some I loved, some were ok and some I can live without. Let’s jump in!

Favy Face Shaver

I’ve been shaving the peach fuzz off my face for about a year now and decided to try these new razors out this month. Some of you probably remember when I first tried this task and cut up my face + saved off half of my eyebrow…don’t worry. I’m so much better at doing this now, haha! I’ve normally just been using these razors off of Amazon but I really do like these Favy ones better! They definitely make it WAY less easy to cut your face and they do a great job of slightly exfoliating your skin. They gave me a code to get you guys 20% off if you want to try – “ASHLEY20”

Kiehls Instant Renewal Concentrate Masks

In my opinion, this mask was a no for me…aka, don’t waste your money on it. I’m such a mask girl and when I use a mask, I want it to feel amazing and leave my skin feeling awesome afterwards as well. This mask didn’t do any of those things. It didn’t really fit my face correctly, didn’t feel like anything was happening when it was on and just left my skin feeling “ok” after I took it off.

Elemis Hydra Gel Eye Masks

LOVE these! They fit amazing, don’t slide down and feel wonderful while they are on! They are a little bit pricey, but Elemis has sales often so these are a great thing to grab at a discount.

Colleen Rothschild Coco Cleansing Balm

Ok, you know my love for Colleen Rothschild runs DEEP, but this wasn’t my favorite. It smells exactly like chocolate frosting and doesn’t give me the spa like feeling that the original Colleen Rothschild cleansing balm does. If you have never tried the original, don’t miss it. It’s so luxurious and feels amazing on your face. The Coco Cleansing balm….not so much.

Clinque Moisture Surge Hydrator

This was one of my favorite finds this month! If you struggle with dry skin during the winter, this stuff will be a life saver for you. It’s a super lightweight gel-like consistency and really does leave your skin so so hydrated. (It’s not oily at all). It feels amazing and cool once applied to the skin and a little goes a long way. I love that this is under $40 plus it has great reviews. I’ll definitely be continuing to use this!

Lancome Lash Primer

The #1 lash primer on the planet! Well, that’s what everyone is saying, haha! I’ve been a big fan of Subversion by Urban Decay for years and recently tried the Marc Jacobs which is awesome as well so I thought it was time I tried this cult favorite. I liked it. Is it better than the other two? Hmmmm not in my opinion. The brush is smaller which makes it easier to get to all of your lashes but as far as the final result, I’d say the Subversion is still better. The Lancome one seems to dry faster which makes it hard to apply your mascara afterwards and I still felt like my lashes didn’t look as full as I wanted. I think I’ll stick to my OG.

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick

I’m a huge lipstick lover and love the look of matte lipsticks. I tried this one in the shade “wifey” which is a gorgeous pink nude and loved it! I will say, it doesn’t seem to last that long like other liquid lipsticks so if longwear is your end game, these might not be for you. BUT the color is a great everyday shade and it doesn’t dry out your lips.

I already have my list of products to start using here in January and I’m so excited to share the results with you all! Have a very fabulous New Years Eve friends!
