As most of you know if you’ve been following my IG stories, I’ve been on the hunt for a new and hydrating concealer. I’ve used the Tarte Shape Tape concealer for YEARS and have always loved the coverage until recently. It still adds great brightness under my eyes, but recently it has felt very “cakey” and drying around my under eye area. No one in their 30s wants that! Am I right or am I right?!
Over the month of January, I made it my mission to find a hydrating concealer that also covers really well! I asked you all for your favorites and you helped guide me in so many good directions that I just had to share my finds with all of you!
Per usual, please remember that what might be my favorite, might not be yours! Everyone might be a different age, has different under eye areas and different skin types! Maybe Shape Tape concealer works perfectly for you…..that’s AMAZING! Don’t change it. BUT if you are having the same issues I am with dryness, maybe this post will help you find another concealer that works for you!
Here are the ones I tried out:
Tarte Creaseless Concealer: Ok, this is the one I’ve been using the most. The coverage is shape tape like BUT it’s way more hydrating and lluminating. It’s still a thick consistency but the brightness and coverage it adds to the undereye is SO good! You can grab it on sale today HERE.
I use shade “light”
………
Hourglass Concealer: Another good option! It has great coverage and goes on so so smooth without feeling drying! I honestly really liked this one too!
I use shade “cotton”
………
Fenty Concealer: Loved this one! Super hydrating, smooth going on, blends well….a great option! I got the shade “200” and needed something a little bit lighter. Overall a winner and a great option for those looking for a new product!
………
It Cosmetetics Concealer: This one reminded me of shape tape…thick with great coverage. And then I found out that it was being discontinued so I gave up on testing it. HAHA! Who wants to get obsessed with a product only to see it go away…not me!
………
Becca Concealer: Ok, this one was my least favorite. Not because it wasn’t hydrating but because there was no coverage for me at all. It acted as a great highlighter and went on extremely smooth but coverage….nada..zip…nothing. It has an amazing highlighting effect that would probably look amazing on the cheekbones, but concealer coverage….not for me.
I tried it in shade “Cosmic 2”
………
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind: This is a great drugstore find if you are looking for a more affordable option. It provides medium coverage and is not drying at all. I love the sponge tip applicator that’s on the end of this wand…very easy to blend!
I use shade “Warm Light”
………
I will continue to try concealers out and update this post for you all as I feel like this is informative for anyone looking for a new concealer find!
