It might still be 100 degrees outside, but it’s September and that means it’s time to buy boots. This is always the BEST time to buy shoes for fall even if you won’t wear them for a couple of weeks because the selection is plentiful and the sizes are always stocked. If you wait until it actually gets cooler, then everyone starts shopping for boots which means the good picks are gone and sizes are limited.
Target has always been my go-to for fall shoes. Last year was probably one of the best shoe years I’ve ever seen at Target and this year doesn’t disappoint either. First off, let me explain something. This is not a sponsored post with Target. I just LOVE their selection, the pricing and the comfort of their shoes. But really, some of my most comfortable boots and heels are from Target.
I always start shopping via Target online starting at the beginning of September. Their shoes might not be out in stores, but the selection online is GOOD.
For example, if you are looking for a classic black boot or bootie, look no further. This black bootie is perfect if you are looking for a small heel, this black boot is great if you want more of a heel & this over the knee black boot is a classic style for the fall season.
Speaking of perfect for the fall season, let’s talk mules. They were popular last season and will continue to be on trend this fall. DV for Target makes some of my absolute favorite mules and they come out with different styles every year. This year, they might have designed THE BEST pair. These taupe cut out mules are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. I’m not exaggerating either. They fit true to size, match with everything, are the perfect height and are under $35. I’m calling these a fall closet necessity! Their classic mules also came out this year in a chocolate brown – so cute!
Looking for a different color boot or a statement patterned boot to spice up your fall outfit? These leopard print boots are almost identical to the Topshop ones I got last year, but for half the price. (You can see how I styled them in this post here). I also made the dreaded decision of passing up on a cute pair of maroon boots last year…..they sold out in a week and then I was devastated. I dreamed about them all season as I couldn’t find a similar pair. Well, Target does it again. How perfect are these?! You better believe I didn’t pass up on these beauties this time around.
I highly recommend shopping for the boots you want online now! Don’t miss out and if you are worried about sizing, I usually always get my normal size in Target shoes unless it’s a boot I plan to wear a thicker sock with, then I size up.
Let the fall shopping begin!

The maroon ones look identical to the rag and bone ones from last year. But the R&G are 495!
