SURPRISE!!
Bryan & I are so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby girl in early February!
The day has finally come where we can share the news with all of you and we are so happy to finally be able to talk about it freely! Man is it hard to keep such an exciting secret!
We found out we were pregnant the beginning of June and have been falling more in love with our baby girl with every appointment. I still stop from time to time and think to myself “is there really a baby in there?!” Such a crazy, amazing experience that I really don’t think you can fully understand until it happens to you.
As of now, I’m 18 weeks and well into my second trimester. I’m so lucky to say that I’ve had no morning sickness (I know, don’t hate me!) and have just felt tired here and there. I really can’t complain!
You might be wondering why we took so long to announce the news?! I know some of my friends and family have been DYING to share our secret! In the long run, we wanted to get through some important appointments and find out the sex of the baby before we decided to publicly share the news. Actually, right now as you read this, we are announcing the sex of the baby to our families and celebrating our little babe with everyone we love!
I’m so excited to have a platform on here to share our journey and I’m even more excited to dive into the world of pregnancy style. I’ve already had so much fun putting together outfits for New York Fashion Week that show off the bump and can’t wait to share them with you. But don’t you worry….this blog won’t become a full blown baby blog as I will continue to share seasonal styles, beauty favorites and travel guides with you.
There are lots of exciting things about being pregnant for the first time, but I have to say, one of the things I’m most excited to watch is Bryan become the best Dad to a little girl. Before Bryan & I were married, my friends would always say, “You guys have to have a girl because Bryan would just be the sweetest Dad to a little girl”. I couldn’t agree more and I can’t wait to watch it all begin in February.
Ok, enough of the sappy stuff!
Now get excited because Bryan is back sharing his take on this fun news at the bottom of this post! Enjoy the read!
HIS TAKE:
I’ve never really held a baby that I wasn’t related to.
I’ve never changed a diaper or fed a baby a bottle.
I grew up with two brothers.
So I’m basically prepared for this… Right?
We’ve been smiling since the second we knew (in between a few happy tears). I am beyond excited & I cannot wait to meet her.
Ashley is going to be such an incredible mom. Ash is beautiful, smart, passionate, funny, independent, stylish… among so many other things. We’ve shared a lot of adventures together over the years, but this one tops the list. We’re going to need another passport!
I am so excited to be a dad. Lots to learn, but so much to look forward to. Thank you all for your support of Ashley, her blog, and our family!
………………..
We are so thankful for the outpouring of love from our family and friends so far and I can’t even imagine how much that love will grow as we welcome this baby girl in February.
Thanks for reading!

Ok, I love everything about this! The pictures are amazing! My biggest question besides how Marcie kept this a secret from me Is how you kept that bump a secret????!!!! You look adorable, Ashley and definitely pregnant! I can't believe you were able to hide that cute bump with that tiny body of yours! I agree, Bryan is going to make the best daddy of a a little girl
