Oh Montmartre, you have my heart. When you hear about the charming streets of Paris, Montmartre is picturesque. Even though I’ve been to Paris a couple of times before, this was my first time exploring Montmartre and let me tell you, I’ll never go back to Paris again without having Montmartre on my itinerary. Every little cobblestone street is full of artists, music, cute cafes and delicious patisseries. Being able to buy a fresh baguette for 1 euro and walk around the gorgeous streets listening to french cafe music is like a dream for me. (Doesn’t it sound like a dream!?)
I chose to wear this comfy midi dress for our day in Montmartre and I’m so glad I did. Not only was the dress comfortable, it kept me warm enough when paired with a denim jacket & I was easily able to take off my jacket later in the day and wrap it around my waist when the weather got warmer. (Key traveling tip when choosing what clothes to bring while packing – packing a denim jacket and pairing it with a dress is one of my go-to travel outfits when you are visiting places where you are unsure about the weather).
The midi dress style is really trending right now and if I was at home, I probably would have worn this dress with a camel color wedge or a sandal with a slight heel to dress it up a bit. But if you’ve ever been to Europe, you know that heels and wedges aren’t really the practical shoe of choice, especially with all those cobblestone streets! We walked over 10 miles total this day and these sandals were a lifesaver! (They also come in black and are less than $25). They paired perfectly with the olive color of the dress & my favorite tote for traveling.
If you ever get the chance to visit Paris, make sure you put Montmartre on your MUST see list. You’ll leave feeling very Parisian.
