My whole life I’ve been the girly one. My favorite color was always pink. I loved ballet. I wore ribbons in my hair to match my outfit….even in high school. Shopping for new clothes was always one of my favorite things to do. (Who am I kidding, it still is!)
So imagine the feeling I got when the spring trend report was announced in all the fashion magazines and it included ruffles and blush. COME ON. My girly heart was oh so happy.
When I found this gorgeous blush ruffled cold shoulder blouse, I knew it was perfect for the season. Did I mention it’s only $45 and comes in 5 other colors?!
Another trend that is huge right now is pairing together a feminine piece of clothing with a more distressed or edgy piece. So I went with some light wash ripped denim and then brought back the feminine touch with a neutral taupe wedge.
I also find that pairing a top or blouse that’s bigger and full of character with a skinny jean really adds more definition to your look, giving you more of a shape and less of a wide boxy look.
How gorgeous is this mushroom shade saddle bag?!? It’s a bit pricer than all the other Stella & Dot bags I own but it’s REAL leather and so well made. I’ve also been noticing that it matches with EVERYTHING.
Honestly, when it comes to finding the perfect ruffle top for spring, you really can’t go wrong. The trend is everywhere right now and I’ve linked some of my other favorite ruffle blouse finds below to make it easy for you.
Cheers to the weekend!
