Valentine’s day is less than one week away! Who’s staying in and lounging? Who’s going out on a special date night? Honestly, I’m always happy with either. It’s so fun to dress up and go out on the town, but it’s also nice to stay home, cook a fun meal with the hubs and drink some good wine.
If you are headed out to a nice dinner, I’ve found the perfect Valentine’s Day dress for you and I’m styling it in this post for a little date night inspiration. If you are staying in, don’t worry, I didn’t forget about you. I’ve linked some comfy and cute options for you that are PERFECT for lounging on the couch for a date night in. (Don’t forget the pizza & wine!)
I absolutely LOVE this gorgeous red dress not only for the simplicity of it, but the added detail of the ruffled bottom and bow in the back is runway perfection. This is one of those outfits that is very easy to style but would come off to others as an incredibly put together look. I paired it with a fun statement necklace, a simple black strapped heel and a bold red lip. I think that there are two times a year when dressing in red and pairing it with a red lip is totally socially acceptable and that’s during Valentine’s Day or a holiday party. It just looks so classic.
If you don’t own a pair of classic black strapped heels, consider adding them to your “closet staples” list, that I’ve mentioned before. It’s always a good idea to have a pair of simple black heels that match with everything in your closet at all times. You just never know when you will need them!
