It’s been a little over two months since we were in Palm Springs enjoying the 70 degree weather, the vintage shops and all the amazing food. We try to go to Palm Springs at least once a year because when I think poolside vacation, I think Palm Springs. Not only that, it reminds me of a place that Audrey Hepburn would have vacationed way back when. All the bright colors and unique restaurants just scream “Old Hollywood”. If you haven’t been, plan a trip ASAP. (Which is why I’m here…..to help you!)
Bryan & I have been about 5 times since we’ve been together….clearly we enjoy it. We’ve been in mid summer when it’s 112 degrees & we’ve been in December when it’s 70 degrees. You would think that 112 degrees would be miserable, BUT you’re in the pool all day anyways so it’s actually very tolerable. Also, there are water misters everywhere in Palm Springs so when you are sitting outside at a restaurant you can stay cool.
Where We Stayed:
Like I said, we’ve been to Palm Springs many times and have loved staying at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel. It’s about 1/2 mile from downtown so we can walk everywhere, has an awesome outdoor bar and a GIANT pool. We might branch out and stay somewhere different next time as we are loving the cool vibes of The Saguaro Hotel. We also paid a visit to the trendy The Parker Palm Springs hotel on this visit just to get a glimpse of the gorgeous details of this highly popular hotel. While both of these other hotels are driving distance from downtown, they are still super close. Going for the first time?? Stay at the Renaissance. You’ll love it.

Where We Ate:
Cheekys – OMG one of my new favorite spots in Palm Springs! We’ve passed by this place many times over the years and finally decided to give it a try. I have two words for you to describe this place – BACON FLIGHT. Enough said right?! I also pulled the trigger and ordered the buttermilk waffles with salted butter….YUM! So so good. Definitely check this place out next time you go but be prepared for a little bit of a wait. We waited about 45 minutes for our table but no worries…next door there is an outdoor patio with a coffee cart/bar where you can grab a mimosa or a fresh cup of coffee while you wait.
Pinocchio in the Desert – We stopped at this place for brunch on one of our first trips to Palm Springs and now we go back every year. A fun outdoor patio that screams Palm Springs, serves HUGE breakfast plates and bottomless champagne for $5! You heard that right. $5 for bottomless champagne. We order a small carafe of orange juice and serve ourselves up some mimosas. Yes please!
Birba – A place we love grabbing a drink and appetizer while sitting on the gorgeous outdoor patio.
Las Casuelas Terraza – Hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Palm Springs. Talk about AUTHENTIC good Mexican food. There’s usually an outdoor band playing and the margaritas are DELISH. Don’t skip this one!
LULU California Bistro – Another great option for brunch or for happy hour. One of our go-tos.
Workshop Kitchen + Bar – Such a good spot for dinner! We’ve ate here twice and both times have been such good dining experiences. Farm fresh food and craft cocktails. Need I say more?

What We Did:
Usually all we do while in Palm Springs is eat, drink and lay poolside. Sounds rough right? Because we went in the winter this time and laying by the pool all day wasn’t really an option except for a couple of hours in the afternoon, we decided to do more touristy things.
This was the first time we decided to take the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up to the mountains in Palm Springs. We loved it! We literally went from 70 degrees and sunny at the bottom of the mountain to 28 degrees and snowing at the top. Such a crazy experience!
We also drove to the site of the pink door which has always been something I’ve wanted to see in person. It’s literally the cutest house with the prettiest pink door and it’s a common spot for bloggers to take some fun outfit photos. (Mad props to my sweet hubby who shot some photos for me that will be up on here soon!)
Of course, we also did relax poolside while sipping on some bubbles. It’s honestly one of my favorite vacations for that reason alone.
(Complete outfit details coming next week – And YES, this adorable romper is still in stock!)
Needless to say, a visit to Palm Springs is a must. We loved visiting in November but both decided that visiting when it’s a little warmer outside is more up our alley. We REALLY enjoy that pool time. Been to Palm Springs and have some great recommendations for our next trip there? Comment below…I’d love to hear!
Wishing you all a very Happy Valentine’s Day!
