Travel Guide: Monterey With A Baby

One of the first trips that Bryan & I took together while we were dating was a weekend getaway to Monterey. It's a short two hours from the Bay Area, so it's a great spot to adventure for the weekend and the perfect spot to visit if you want to get your coastal vibes fix.
We visit now about once or twice a year and it's still to this day one of our favorite getaway spots.

For the past 5 years, we've only had to worry about the two of us on this trip, so we knew that adding little Eloise into the mix was going to change a few things (goodbye late night bar hopping!)

I already have a great travel guide on Monterey & Carmel that you can read here so I thought that this time around, I would share how it was a little different with a baby.

Eloise's Four Month Schedule

Yes.
You read that right.
FOUR MONTHS!

Sweet Eloise turned four months yesterday and it's honestly been the best four months of our lives. Don't get me wrong, we have our days (everyone does) but what an amazing experience it is to see such a little person that you created, grow and discover the world from day to day. Also, those big belly laughs?! THE BEST.

If you are new to this blog, welcome! Every two months, I'll be doing an "Eloise update" on here, letting you know her favorites, her schedule and just any other information I think might be helpful for any other moms out there. Now, let me tell you....I'm not saying that everything I'm doing is right, and I FOR SURE don't know everything, but if you are pregnant or your little one is the same age as Eloise, you might find these posts helpful! I love hearing from other moms and how they are doing it, as it's fun to compare notes, learn some things and find some new products your little might love!

Cheers to Change

I've got some super exciting news to share with you guys today but I first off have to start out by saying THANK YOU.
I know I thank you guys a lot, but honestly, this little blog would be nothing without you guys stopping in, reading and shopping my links. It just wouldn't.

When I started this blog, it was mostly because of travel itineraries. Since Bryan & I travel quite frequently, people would always message me asking for travel tips and guides for certain cities. I would keep a notepad on my phone with every place we visited, top places to eat in that certain city and things to do, so that when someone messaged me for details, I could just send them the note on my phone.
After a year of doing that, I thought to myself, "how awesome would it be if I had a little spot on the internet to put these notes out there so that anyone could hop on at anytime and look up travel guides and travel tips themselves?!"
About a month later, Ashleydonielle.com was created.

May's Top Ten

Goodbye May.
Hello SUMMER!

The weather is finally starting to warm up, the kids are out of school and we just took our first dip in the pool this past weekend. I love summer time!
May was a HUGE shopping month (probably because of all the holiday sales) and this month's top ten was a close one! This was one of my biggest months with clicks to purchases from you guys SO THANK YOU! You are truly the best followers and readers a girl could ask for!

Memorial Day Sale Roundup

Holy sale weekend!
Literally EVERYTHING is on sale EVERYWHERE.
If you've been waiting to pull the trigger on some wardrobe pieces, accessories, shoes, or home items, now is the time!

I thought I would create a post that was like your "one stop shop" for all the Memorial Day sales, hopefully making it easy on you to find the best deals.
If you want to browse any of the retailers below and shop through me, all you have to do is click on the retailer's name and it will take you to the site. I'll also be sharing some of my favorite picks at the bottom, so you can click on those directly as well.

Current Nighttime Skincare Routine

If you've followed me for some time, you know I LOVE skincare and beauty products.
I truly do enjoy trying new face masks, oils, & creams and you better believe I look forward to washing my face every night. I know, call me weird, but nothing feels better than wiping my makeup off at the end of the night and applying some amazing skincare products before bed. Taking the time to do that is better for your skin in the long run and it's relaxing. It's a win win!

My routine is always changing and since I've had Eloise, my skin has been a little bit more on the drier side (hello breastfeeding)! I've been using a handful of products (pictured here) for the past 3 weeks and I can finally feel my skin balancing out and becoming more hydrated. I thought I would share my most current skincare routine with all of you on here today because some of these products are just TOO good not to share!

Body After Baby

Before I start this post, I wanted to say one thing....women are ROCKSTARS.
Whether you've carried a child, adopted a child, have yet to have a child....the entire art of just being a positive woman in today's society takes heart, will & hard work.
Heck yes. GIRL POWER.

Ok, anyways, I wasn't originally going to write this post because first off, I'm not a good writer. Sometimes it's hard for me to put down how I feel into words. Wanna chat? I can talk your ear off. Your next author? Not me.
Second, I don't like talking about weight and body image. With my best friends? Sure.
On the internet? Not so much.
But then I thought about it more and I thought it's something I SHOULD address.
